Red Mountain Park has hosted 1,005 campers over the past two summers; we don’t register individual campers, but offer a unique and fun location for existing camps and programs like the YMCA and provide additional support camp staff for a successful week or day camp adventure. Learn how to navigate the mountain during Red Mountain Park’s week-long Adventure Camp. Campers will participate in guided hikes to historic areas and points of interest throughout the park while honing their outdoor skills through crafts and activities. Fun and games will include hiking, water games, crafts, outdoor education, team-building and survival skills! The week begins warming up with low ropes elements in the Susan Mott Webb Team Area. We will finish the week in the trees with your choice of adventure: playing on the Hugh Kaul Beanstalk Forest, zipping with the Vulcan Materials Zip Trip Guides, or climbing and rappelling on the new Kaul Adventure Tower!
Campers will be greeted at the Park’s Welcome Station(Entrance) and lead on an interactive history or nature hike. After your group breaks for lunch, they will climb the Kaul Adventure Tower and then spend their afternoon building confidence through engaging activities and games. Please remember — Red Mountain Park offers an outdoor adventure experience so dress accordingly in “play clothes,” as your campers will be getting down and dirty daily.
Daily Packing List — Picnic-style lunch and a reusable water bottle. Campers, please come dressed in closed-toed shoes and carry bug spray and sunscreen.
