Have you ever hiked out to Red Mountain Park and left eager to know more about the history that took place here? Our Red Mountain Mining History Hikes are just for you! These hikes are led by Red Mountain Park Historian, Jeff, and Education Director, Shelby, to take you deep into the Park to learn more about the Park’s history from mining for the Civil War to World War II and all the way to where we are today. Jeff and Shelby will answer any questions you may have about the Park while leading you on preserved Park trails. You will also have the opportunity to see actual artifacts from the Park’s archive collection. Registration is required as there is a 20 person limit to hikes.
If you have any kind of mobility differences and wish to go on a Guided Hike, please contact, Shelby at firstname.lastname@example.org or 205-403-5956. Highly encouraged to bring a water bottle and durable shoes. See you on the trails!
