WHAT IS MEMBERSHIP?
Red Mountain, Ruffner Mountain and Turkey Creek are three beloved greenways in Jefferson County that total 3,193 acres of land and waterways, welcome over 320,000 visitors per year, and sustain thousands of species of native plants and animals.
Membership covers the cost for everything you access at each space. At Red Mountain, this includes 16 miles of hiking and biking trails with two city overlooks, three treehouses, and the 6-acre off-leash Remy’s Dog Park. Ruffner Mountain provides 14 miles of hiking trails, public restrooms, parking, the Pavilion, and the Nature Center. Turkey Creek features 7.7 miles of hiking and biking trails, parking, and crystal clear waters with a natural waterslide and beautiful cascades.
As a member, you will receive:
• a member parking permit
• quarterly email newsletter
• monthly email of program offerings and
volunteer opportunities
• exclusive parking at Ruffner Mountain
• member exclusive programs
• early registration and/or discounts to
select programs
• discounts on merchandise and at our
Native Plant Sale
We have both paid and unpaid membership options. If you have the financial ability, support us by selecting an Individual, Dual, Household, or Steward membership and choosing between a monthly or yearly payment option. Want to maximize your impact? Purchase a Steward membership to go above and beyond your personal usage of each space.
If you currently receive government assistance, are a college or university student, or live within Birmingham, Irondale, or Pinson city limits, you are eligible to become a Nature for All member for free.

Share Your Support
If you live in Birmingham, Irondale, or Pinson, please take a moment to thank your mayor and city councilors for their continued support. If you live outside of these cities but believe your city should also support our greenspaces, we would appreciate you taking the time to encourage financial support from your city leaders!
